Over a month since I've been here - not a blogger at heart I guess.
Anyway, I've bagged the Wisteria Bag - I'll use the yarn for something else. It was totally tedious and I think your hobby should be fun, right? There are so mnay other things in life that you can't just "bag" when they become tedious and I must say I enjoyed dumping the Wisteria Bag!
Went to Rhinebeck which was awesome and a bit overwhelming. Bought a mitten kit from Friends Folly which I will be casting on this weekend, a skein of Pulled Taffy from Decadent Fibers to go with a boucle I bought from them in May, a funky little number called Winter Beach from Tochay's Farm Fiber's and Yarn Emporium (their stuff is very cool!), and bootliners for DH and me which are really wool batting.
The Journey Inn in Hyde Park is super and everyone staying there was headed for the sheep & wool so it was fun.
We also went to the FDR Museum and Presidential Library, and had dinner at the CIA. Really need to spend more time down there as there is so much to see and do. It's a gorgeous area in the fall, very rural and completely relaxing.
On the needles: alpaca socks (finish today), MD Buttonhole Bag which may be a Christmas gift, scarf of Baby Alpaca Brush and Online Punta which I may try to sell at a craft fair, Alpaca Afghan (Abundance Pattern from Knitpicks), 12 square afghan of Manos, and the Moss Stitch towel from MD which I frogged and will switch to size 4 needles, chunky cable scarf of Lobster Pot Cashmere.
I hope to cast on the Pashmina Cowl from last Minute Gifts this weekend - Joseph Galler Cashmere in Palmetta - another holidfay gift if I get it finished!
